Wow, never did I ever think it would be a label associated with me, but it is. Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after exposure to prolonged or repeated trauma. It is similar to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) but can also include symptoms such as emotional dysregulation, negative self-perception, and difficulty with interpersonal relationships. Let me further explain, as I go through my self studies of what CPTSD is, what are its symptoms and treatments are, I began to realize that the very things in various communities are struggling with is this subtle monster called CPTSD Complex Post-Traumatic Stress.
